Account Manager/ Business Development Manager (Hospital Channel)

Location: South-South East Home based

Reporting to: Senior Business Development Manager

It’s an exciting time to be part of APRIL in the UK.

Our brand and presence in the insurance market is growing all the time. As a result of 2017 success, we are now looking to expand our Sales capability in our hospital liaison team.

The ideal candidate will have Account Management/ Business Development experience preferably within the Private Medical Insurance sector, the right person will be an accomplished communicator and comfortable dealing at Senior Management and Director level. On offer is working as part of an experienced and accomplished team and the opportunity to come into a ‘warm’ patch.

You must be willing to travel nationally from time to time but most of your time will be spent in the south meeting with our clients and partners.

A competitive salary plus car/car allowance and the usual benefits of working from home are on offer to the right candidate.

Key Tasks

  • Business client visits to hospitals to create positive relationships enhancing the market strength.
  • Work closely with our Hospital partners to provide a positive growth channel.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Achieve KPI’s 
    • API and Company commission
    • Lead Generation
    • Conversion
    • Lives insured
  • Providing management with timely feedback.
  • Presentations and business proposals to potential clients
  • Knowledge and awareness of the technological world to stay in touch with other competitors of the industry.
  • Coordination with marketing proposals.
  • Communicating new product developments.
  • Providing support to key networks and partners.
  • Meet targets and performance levels agreed by Management.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years Account Management experience
  • Experience in dealing and negotiating at Senior Management and Director level
  • Have a strong understanding of private medical insurance and cash plans
  • Experience within the private healthcare industry is essential
  • Ability to adapt to working autonomously and effective at managing diary to maximise output
  • Articulate and comfortable communicating at all levels
  • Driven individual comfortable working to targets and KPI’s
  • Ability to innovate and develop new ideas
  • Accomplished and confident presenter to small and large groups
  • Ideally degree qualified or similar level.
  • Experienced in using all Microsoft office applications.
  • Ability to travel nationally and occasionally stay away from home
  • Full clean Driving Licence
